Jesus reveals God exactly (Heb. 1:1-3).
According to His nature, Jesus reveals the limitless love of God.
According to His condition, Jesus reveals the righteousness of God.
And according to His name, Jesus reveals God as FATHER.
O righteous FATHER! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them YOUR NAME, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:25-26 (NKJV)
Notably, in the Old Testament, the term “Father” hardly appears at all. Then JESUS came on the scene. Over 165 references to “Father” appear in the gospels.
Through the finished work of the Cross, we approach God as JESUS Himself did.
The apostle Paul brought out another dimension of the paternal principle. “Abba” literally means “Daddy,” and speaks of intimacy and ownership.
This message was delivered on Father’s Day from the basis of where the principle originates and finds true definition.
It includes holy communion with David Fuller.
We pray it blesses you.
